Marketplace role

SpotScout is a parking marketplace. We connect hosts offering spaces with drivers booking those spaces.

SpotScout does not own, operate, or insure listed properties. Each booking is between the host and the driver, subject to listing details and applicable law.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account and contact information and keep it current.

You are responsible for activity on your account and for using SpotScout only for lawful parking activity.

Bookings and status flow

SpotScout booking workflows include statuses such as pending, accepted, confirmed, in progress, completed, declined, cancelled, no show, and expired.

Some flows finalize immediately after successful payment, and others require host acceptance before final confirmation.

Exact address and private access instructions are withheld until booking eligibility requirements are met in product flows.

Payments, Stripe, payouts, and refunds

Payments are processed through Stripe. SpotScout does not store full card numbers.

Hosts must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before listings can accept paid bookings.

Current cancellation and decline flows can include full or partial refunds based on timing and booking state, including operational logic that can apply a 100% or 50% refund in supported cancellation paths.

Host responsibilities

Hosts must have legal permission to offer each listed parking space and must keep listing information accurate.

Hosts are responsible for property condition, lawful operation, posted instructions, and compliance with lease, HOA, zoning, and other legal obligations.

Driver responsibilities

Drivers must review listing details, pricing, timing, and access instructions before booking.

Drivers must follow host instructions, avoid blocked access, and are responsible for damage, unauthorized overstay, or other losses they cause.

Communications and enforcement

SpotScout sends operational communications such as account emails, booking updates, receipts, reminders, and support responses.

SpotScout may limit, suspend, or remove access where needed for safety, fraud review, payment integrity, policy enforcement, or legal compliance.

SpotScout has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, and unsafe content is prohibited.

Users can report listings or users, and can block abusive users. Blocked users' listing content is hidden immediately for the blocker.

SpotScout reviews reports within 24 hours and may remove content or suspend/ban accounts.

Liability limits

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SpotScout is not liable for losses arising from listed properties, user conduct, or parking activity outside SpotScout's direct platform obligations.

Where liability cannot be excluded, SpotScout's liability is limited to amounts paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
