Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SpotScout handles account and booking data.
Last updated: April 30, 2026
Information we collect
SpotScout collects account and marketplace data used to run the product, including email, phone (when provided), public profile name, and profile images when uploaded.
SpotScout collects listing and booking data, including host-entered listing details, listing photos, booking times, booking status changes, vehicle details, support messages, reports, and evidence uploads.
SpotScout collects payment metadata, transaction status, and related identifiers from payment providers such as Stripe, but not full raw card numbers.
Location and access data
SpotScout uses approximate location and geocoding to support nearby search, maps, listing address validation, check-in experiences, and operational anti-abuse controls where those flows are enabled.
SpotScout keeps exact listing address and private access instructions restricted until booking eligibility conditions are satisfied.
How we use information
SpotScout uses data to create and manage accounts, process bookings and payments, support hosts and drivers, send transactional messages, operate QR/sign and check-in flows, prevent fraud, and enforce platform rules.
SpotScout also uses operational telemetry, diagnostics, and aggregated reporting to monitor reliability and improve product quality.
Service providers and sharing
SpotScout shares data with service providers that operate key product functions, including Stripe for payments, infrastructure providers, storage providers, mapping/geocoding providers, and messaging/email providers.
SpotScout may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, safety response, or enforcement of platform terms.
Communications
SpotScout sends transactional communications such as account verification, password reset, booking confirmations, booking updates, payment receipts, and support responses.
In-app notifications and other operational messaging are used to deliver booking lifecycle updates and required service notices.
Retention and deletion
SpotScout retains account and transaction records for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
You can request account deletion and privacy support through the support email.
